What is a State Committee Member / district leader?

A State Committee member is a member of NY Democratic Party Leadership. In Brooklyn, State Committee Members also serve as District Leaders, who serve as leadership for the Brooklyn Democratic Party.

This is an unpaid, volunteer position responsible for electing Party leaders, nominating judges, staffing Poll Sites, writing the rules that govern our local party, and liaising with local elected leaders.
